We look forward to speaking with each candidate as part of our application process.

We reserve 10-15 minutes at the end of each candidate conversation to speak with Parents and Guardians, as part of an optional, but encouraged, Parent Conversation.

  • TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS

    Due January 10, 2025

We require a completed teacher recommendation form from each candidate’s current English and math teacher(s). A third recommendation form from another current academic teacher is also required.

If a candidate has the same teacher for English and math, we ask that the teacher complete a recommendation for each subject.

Recommendations forms will be available within the Candidate Checklist once the OAF has been submitted and processed. Families must send the recommendation forms to teachers electronically via the Candidate Checklist/Portal. Completed recommendations will be submitted directly to Newark Academy.

  • FINANCIAL AID (IF APPLICABLE)

    Due January 10, 2025

Ensuring that Newark Academy remains accessible and affordable to families of varying incomes remains an institutional priority.

All financial aid at Newark Academy is need-based, and Newark Academy partners with Clarity to determine a family’s financial need. Please create an account and complete a financial aid application through Clarity

The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and you are also able to save your progress and return at any time. There is a $60 fee to submit the financial aid application, which can be shared with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools. As Clarity is operated by a third party, Newark Academy is not able to provide fee waivers.
