Advisors

Every student at Newark Academy is assigned a Faculty Advisor, who guides a small group of students during the school year. Advisor groups meet at least twice each week where the Advisor assists students by monitoring academic progress, leading discussions on important topics of the day or year, mentoring, and guiding through the course selection process. Viewed as the first resource (not the only resource) that a student seeks out when navigating life at NA. Advisors also serve an important role as a liaison to the parents of all students in the Advisory Group, communicating regularly with parents regarding their student’s progress.
