Recognizing Distinguished Alumni

One of the highlights of Newark Academy's Annual Alumni Reunion is the conferring of the Alumni Association's top honors for distinguished alumni during the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony.

2023 Alumni Award Recipients:
  • Alumni Achievement Award: Lanny J. Davis '63, Eric Sumner '73 (posthumous)
  • Fulton H. MacArthur Award: Lara Coraci-Basile '88
  • Artistic Achievement Award: Akshay Oberoi '03
  • Athletic Hall of Fame Award: Robin Carter Feldman '03
  • Distinguished Faculty Award: Dr. Anthony Ungaro

Award categories are:
  • Alumni Achievement — Presented to those graduates who have distinguished themselves in their field of endeavor, whether in public life, the professions, the arts, education, nonprofit organizations, or in the business world.
  • Fulton MacArthur Award Presented to those graduates who have distinguished themselves through loyal and dedicated service to Newark Academy through their efforts on behalf of the Alumni Association, the Board of Trustees, or in another volunteer capacity.
  • Distinguished Faculty Award Presented to a faculty member in recognition of his or her significant impact upon the educational development of the students of Newark Academy.
  • NA Athletic Hall of Fame Presented to those graduates and coaches who have brought honor, merit, and recognition to Newark Academy through excellence in the field of athletics.
  • NA Artistic Achievement Award Presented to those graduates who have distinguished themselves in the fields of creative, literary, performing and visual arts who began their careers with significant contributions to the arts while at Newark Academy.
