NA Athletic Facilities

Few schools in New Jersey – either public or private – can match the caliber of athletic facilities at Newark Academy.  From the Simon Family Field House and the F.M. Kirby Gymansium to Coursen and Kacur Fields outdoors, Minuteman teams take the field and floor with pride of place. 

While many of NA’s facilities allow for multi-sport use, Minuteman Athletics also offers sports-specific facilities include the Simon Natatorium, the state-of-the art Cetrulo Family Fencing Center and a dedicated wrestling gym.  Off-season strength and conditioning programs make use of the Danco Fitness Center (which is open to all NA students, faculty and staff for fitness). 

NA’s facilities also include an Athletic Training suite, staffed by accredited athletic trainers affiliated with Atlantic Health Sports Medicine. Through this unique partnership with Atlantic Health, Minuteman student-athletes may be seen by team physician Dr. Daniel Harrington, D.O. and a team of Sports Medicine Fellows at a, weekly “Training Room Clinic.”
