Vibrancy and Variety
There is both depth and breadth in Newark Academy's vibrant Dance Program. We offer all levels of dance instruction, from introductory courses in the Middle School to IB Dance in the Upper School.
These courses expose students to a wide variety of dance styles including tap, jazz, modern, ballet and improvisation, as well as The World Dance Series that widens the student’s understanding of the importance of dance in different cultures.
Analyzing, writing, and speaking about dance provides the groundwork for the advanced level, high school courses in which students design and teach their own choreography. All dance classes are featured in culminating fall and spring dance concerts that take place in the school's state-of-the art Coraci Performance Hall.
