Experiential Learning

Newark Academy Middle School students take an active role in their own learning and growth. This experiential approach might involve designing and building a sustainable house, creating a cardboard roller coaster, or working on a grade-wide production of The Tempest. Through these exciting, engaging experiences, our students gain self-confidence and come to a greater understanding of themselves and their classmates. While experiential learning takes place throughout the school year in all classes, here are a few of the most prominent opportunities for our Middle School students to “learn by doing.”
