For more than 50 years, the Newark Academy Summer Program has been a leader in offering rigorous and engaging summer learning experiences for children. Operating annually from late June through early August, the NA summer program provides a variety of opportunities. Students in grades K-12 can participate in dynamic classroom spaces — science labs, music and art studios — and on NA's spacious athletic fields.
Summer at NA allows students to:
Increase their skill-level, so they are better prepared for a return to school in the fall.
Engage in experiential learning opportunities for participation and reflection.
Gain new perspectives from peers and instructors, who encourage development and growth.
Experiences that encourage meaningful discovery and critical thinking, while providing opportunities to earn advanced credit. Choose among more than 100 course offerings.
Special courses uniquely crafted for young learners entering kindergarten - Grade 2. Students are prepared for school, socialize and have ample time for play.
Seasoned Newark Academy coaches guide young athletes in a variety of sports including basketball, field hockey, football, soccer, softball, lacrosse and volleyball.
A variety of one and two-week-long courses to explore an array of subjects, engage in experiential learning and exchange ideas with Newark Academy faculty and special guests.
An opportunity for student-athletes, ages 5-13, to explore their passion for baseball, while receiving top-notch instruction at one of the finest athletic facilities in the region.
